First Month in Victoria

I came to UVic by myself. I was worried about making friends because I came alone. On the first day, there were no Japanese students in my course. However, students from Taiwan and Hong Kong talked to me a lot, and I was able to become friends with them. They have been very kind to me.

UVic has a lot of activities for students, so I can enjoy many different experiences. For example, I enjoyed bingo, bubble soccer, visiting Craigdarroch Castle, shopping downtown, and more.

My host family is very kind to me as well. My host mother is very good at cooking, so I can enjoy delicious meals every day.

I think I have had a very good start to my life in Victoria.
